Who We Are

Saferoom & Bunker Co. Ltd ("we", "our", "us") is a New Zealand–registered company operating from Auckland, New Zealand. We design, license, and manage the construction of certified underground bunker and saferoom structures for principals worldwide.

This Privacy Policy applies to all visitors to saferoombunker.com and to all persons who submit enquiries or enter into agreements with us.

Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to respond to your enquiry and deliver our services. This may include:

• Your name and contact details (email address, telephone number)
• The nature of your enquiry (plan licensing, turnkey build, full property acquisition)
• Any information you voluntarily provide in your message
• Technical data collected automatically by Google Analytics (anonymised IP address, browser type, referring URL, page views, session duration)

We do not collect sensitive personal information (financial account details, government ID numbers, health data) unless you explicitly provide it in the course of a formal engagement, at which point a separate data processing agreement applies.

How We Use It

Information you provide is used solely to:

• Respond to your enquiry and assess fit
• Prepare and deliver plan licensing documentation or engagement agreements
• Coordinate build or acquisition services where retained to do so
• Meet our legal obligations as a New Zealand–registered company and solicitor practice

We do not use your information for marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond the direct delivery of requested services.

Confidentiality

All initial contact is treated as confidential from the moment it is received. We operate under a standard non-disclosure framework: no information you share with us — including the fact that you have made contact — is disclosed to any third party without your written consent.

Clients who proceed to a formal engagement execute a mutual NDA prior to any disclosure of project-specific details.

Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may engage trusted third parties in the delivery of services — for example, structural engineers, construction contractors, or New Zealand legal professionals — but such parties are bound by confidentiality obligations commensurate with this policy.

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage patterns. Google's privacy policy governs how they handle that data. We use anonymised IP addresses and do not enable advertising features.

Data Retention

Enquiry data is retained for seven years following last contact, in accordance with New Zealand's Limitation Act 2010 and professional record-keeping obligations for solicitor practices. Data may be deleted earlier upon written request, subject to any overriding legal obligation.

Your Rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

• Request access to personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of information (subject to retention obligations)
• Complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner if you believe your rights have been breached

Cookies & Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymised usage data — pages visited, session duration, and referring sources. No personally identifiable information is collected through Analytics.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any form of behavioural profiling.
